About this course
This course covers basic life support (BLS) and includes skills for adults, children, and infants as well as healthcare variations on CPR. See topics tab above for full syllabus.
Safety precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression-only CPR, CPR handover and choking are covered. Anaphylaxis can also be included with guidance on auto injectors and adrenaline dosage where professionals are allowed to prescribe. Extra time may be required for this.
This course complies with the latest 2021 ERC and UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines and is aimed at Healthcare Professionals with a duty to respond and includes adaptions for any support and receptionist staff.
Medical professionals with a duty to respond in an emergency are required to complete an annual first aid basic life support refresher.
This version is for learners who have already completed BLS courses in the past and just need refreshing their skills annually.
This course is for on-site groups and normally takes about 2 hours. Preferred date, location and start and finish times to suit your schedule.
